Hypnotic Induction- it’s easy

Hypnotic Induction is the process by which you go into trance. Clients I find sometimes worry about if they will be able to go into a trance state and the truth is that everyone can but it is true that some take longer than others. Sometimes I conduct a suggestibility test which ascertains how open to suggestion a person is and the more receptive to suggestion they are the quicker they will likely be Hypnotized.

In my experience most people will achieve a Trance state after a few minutes but some Hypnotic Inductions can be rapid and can put people into trance very quickly. One of these is known as the Elman Induction popularized by an American Dave Elman who through relaxed breathing exercises got clients to induce relaxation in different muscle groups then a second time would get them to increase that relaxation by ten . He sometimes would do a hand drop to see just how relax a person was , how loose and limp their hand was. This process can sometimes take as little time as 30 seconds. So everybody can go into Trance but sometimes it can be rapid and before you know it you are drifting off into a blissful Hypnotic State. Below is a link to an article on Hypnotic Induction and in particular the Dave Elman approach.
